Spring 2025

With another academic semester coming to a close, we’re taking a moment to recognize the contributions of our Spring 2025 cohort of amazing interns! Throughout their time with FanCompass, this group brought initiative and a great team mindset, quickly finding ways to make an impact in their roles. It’s been a pleasure having them as part of the team and seeing the ideas and perspectives they brought to the program.

As always, we asked our interns to reflect on their time and experience at FanCompass, and we’re excited to share what they had to say in our latest Intern Blog. Enjoy!

“Enough cannot be said of the transitive skills and experience that I’ve gained through my time with FanCompass. This internship challenges you to grasp the business of the organization at a grand scale, but also to explore and innovate when the situation calls for it. On my calls with external teams, I have been both a sponge for information as well as a presenter of it. I’ve taken notes on ideation processes and conducted my own as well. FanCompass provides the perfect level of support for a young professional in the sports industry; enough guidance to meet expectations, and enough autonomy to exceed them. This standard of support is consistent throughout the organization, nurturing a driven, cooperative team of unique individuals. The true beauty of this internship was witnessing our own adoption of these standards and utilizing them in the completion of our final project as a team of interns. As my career advances, I look forward to employing this same work ethic that I’ve learned at FanCompass elsewhere. As a blossoming professional, there's no better place to experience a group of motivated, mentoring individuals than FanCompass. I’m excited for us to see each other grow.”

“As I conclude my senior capstone with FanCompass, I’m filled with gratitude for the invaluable experience I've gained. Over the past few months, I’ve had the unique opportunity to dive deeply into the dynamic world of the sports industry, gaining insights and skills that I will carry with me throughout my career. From data analysis and client relations to marketing and sales, I was able to contribute to real projects and grow both professionally and personally. The incredible team at FanCompass welcomed me from day one, creating an environment that was both supportive and inspiring. Their mentorship and encouragement pushed me to step outside my comfort zone, constantly challenging me to learn, adapt, and excel. Beyond the professional growth, I’m especially thankful for the meaningful connections and relationships I built along the way. These will no doubt have a lasting impact on my journey in the sports industry and beyond. This internship has been a pivotal step toward my future, and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity.”

“My internship at FanCompass was the perfect starting point for launching my career in sports marketing. As part of the marketing team, I gained hands-on experience in how sports organizations use fan data and digital tools to build stronger, more strategic partnerships. From learning how to navigate CRM systems to scheduling and supporting marketing campaigns, I got to see how the behind-the-scenes work really drives fan engagement. Now, as I prepare to graduate, I genuinely feel like this experience has helped lay the foundation for what’s ahead. I’ve not only built technical skills, but also developed a stronger sense of how to work collaboratively, stay organized under pressure, and think creatively to support larger marketing goals. The team was incredibly welcoming and made sure I had the support to grow both personally and professionally. I’m grateful for the opportunity and excited to carry these lessons with me into the next chapter.”

“As my time at FanCompass comes to a close, I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed every single aspect of this internship. From day one, I felt that FanCompass was a company that not only values innovation in the sports and entertainment industry but also fosters a collaborative and welcoming environment for its interns. Being a part of the Client Success Team was an incredible experience. I learned so much about how fan engagement campaigns are built, launched, and analyzed. Whether it was helping brainstorm campaign ideas, analyzing collected data, or watching a campaign go live, I felt like I was truly contributing to these teams and leagues. Special thanks to Aaron, Ellie, and Gage for being outstanding mentors and just genuinely awesome people to work with. Their guidance and encouragement meant a lot, and I appreciated how they made the experience both educational and enjoyable. I also want to thank David, our internship manager, for leading the program with energy, professionalism, and a great sense of humor. And to the rest of the intern group, thank you for making this such a fun and memorable experience. Some of my favorite moments came from our weekly calls with teams and leagues, where I got a deeper understanding of how FanCompass supports its partners and drives engagement. I also really looked forward to our Friday all-team meetings! Hearing everyone's wins of the week (both professional and personal) and jumping into a quick game or sports prediction session was such a great way to wrap up the week and connect with the full company. All in all, I’d do this internship again in a heartbeat. It was the perfect blend of learning, teamwork, and fun. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity, and I’d absolutely recommend FanCompass to any peer looking to break into the sports and entertainment space. Hopefully, I’ll have the opportunity to work with this amazing team again in the future.”
